VOLUNTEERS WANTED!

“Be the change you want to see.” But how exactly? How can we empower and prepare our youth with the tools they need to be agents for change?

Join us for our 2nd Hackathon, #UNHackTheVote 2018, as we facilitate, lead, and mentor African American youth in the DMV to become empowered and emboldened agents for change.

#UNHacktTheVote 2018, will be a 12-hour Hackathon where students are taught how to take an issue, understand the elements of that issue, build a case for or against that issue using open source software, code, and open data, and then pitch this agenda to the powers that be. Students can apply these skills to change the minds of their student body, school board, or government officials.

We need volunteers to help facilitate this event. This includes check-in, food distribution, signage, and welcoming to mentors on tech, data, policy, lobbying, marketing, presenting, and pitch. RSVP and we'll put you in the perfect spot!
